Building & Code Enforcement

The Building & Code Enforcement Department is divided into two distinct Divisions to better serve community needs.


Division Breakdown

Building is responsible for inspecting new and active construction related issues to include, construction parking, additions and remodeling structures in accordance with the Florida building codes. Also, issues business license (zoning should be check, the applicant must have appropriate parking for business, and change out of signs must be approved/permitted).

Code Enforcement initiates actions to maintain and enhance the quality of life in Winter Park. Those actions include the enforcement of regulations already adopted. Protect existing property values and ensure a safe environment for all citizens. 

Unsafe or hazardous structures, removal of trees without a permit, etc.
THERE IS A CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER ON-CALL 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK.
